Shipping Info.
All Buyers:
Buyer pays shipping and handling. You MUST use our "Pay For Auction Here!" button to be
able to choose the shipping options you want AND to get your correct total.
We use stiff card stock mailers or padded boxes for all shipments. These mailers are designed to protect the corners of the books during shipment but they are not indestructible!
Please use the "Shipping Estimate" button on the auction before bidding to get a close estimate of your shipping costs.
U.S. Buyers:
The default shipping choice is Priority Mail (2-4 days) for all U.S.
shipments. Media mail is cheaper but is also much, much slower taking as
long as 6 weeks (!) or longer at times to some locations. For the very few
dollars more (usually $2-$3) Priority Mail seems to be the better bargain.
However we will ship according to your instructions. Books under 13oz can
ship First Class Mail. You may choose the shipping options you want from the
drop-down box during checkout.
Insurance is $1.30 for the first $50 of value covered and $1.00 for each $50 value or fraction of $50 over the first $50. Example: The fee to insure a $150 value is $3.30.
If you do not pay for insurance YOU assume the risk if your book(s) are damaged or lost in shipment! We will immediately replace any book(s) that are damaged (we must receive the damaged book(s) and the shipping container before replacing) or lost in shipment when insurance is purchased. We will NOT replace any book(s) that are damaged or lost in shipment if you do not purchase insurance.
A word to the wise:
All U.S. shipments are shipped with USPS tracking, where it is available, at
our expense. If the Post Office reports that they delivered the shipment to
the address you gave us we must accept that as fact even if you did not get
the shipment. It's not that we think your kidding us it's simply that once
we give your book(s) to the Post Office we no longer have any control over
what they do with them. Which is another reason why we strongly recommend
insurance because every so often, as good as they are, they'll screw up and
you won't get your book(s).
All International Buyers:
The default shipping choice is Air Letter Post (usually 4-7 days) for all
International shipments. If the book is smaller than 10"X10" and 100 pages
or less, it can go Global Priority Mail, (4-6 days and it's cheaper),
however larger books cannot be shipped Global Priority Mail. You may choose
the shipping options you want from the drop-down box during checkout.
However if you should choose "Economy (Surface) Letter Post" please be aware
that it will take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive!
Insurance is available but you must email me (Please use our email form on the "Contact Us" page for quickest response.) AFTER YOU WIN the auction for an insurance quote. If you do not pay for insurance YOU assume the risk if your book(s) are damaged or lost in shipment! We will immediately replace any book(s) that are damaged (we must receive the damaged book(s) and the shipping container before replacing) or lost in shipment when insurance is purchased. There is no tracking on International shipments without insurance. You assume all the risk if you choose not to purchase insurance and the book(s), for whatever reason, do not reach you.
